Brand new Sheltie owner

Post by droopdog » Mon Jan 07, 2019 4:40 pm

So I am a brand new owner of a tri-colored sheltie named Russell. He's only 11 weeks old (as of today) but it's an exciting time. We lost our dog Rondo on Halloween and our remaining dog has been very depressed (and clingy) since then.

We ended up with getting a sheltie on the last day of 2018 and I have been educating myself since then. So far so good, as he is a happy, active, albeit somewhat knuckle-headed, little puppy. He's stolen our hearts and we've already seen a change in mood of our older dog. Looking forward to many years of happiness with our new pup.

Hi folks!!
This is Darlene from the USA. I’m getting a little girl Sheltie next week and I can hardly contain myself!!!
I am going to read your posts now. I like hearing from Sheltie owners as each breed is different and has such specific traits. So, thank you in advance for my Sheltie education.
