Hello everyone,
I live in Scotland and I'm having difficulty finding a breeder that will have Sheltie pups within the next year. I can't believe how rare these beautiful little dogs have become. My Nan had a Sheltie when I was growing up and we still reminise about what a great dog he was. I currently have a female Pommeranian (9 years old). I really want a Sheltie that I can train for agility and enter into competitions.
Does anyone have advice on good breeders in Scotland or Northern England? I would also be interested in anyone that has introduced a Sheltie to their Pomeranian too.
Thanks so much,
Charlene.

I'm really shocked to hear Shelties are that rare as well. Is it like that elsewhere in the world as well?

Re: Finding a Sheltie Pup
I was able to find 5 Sheltie breeders in Scotland, although you'll need to (and may have already) contact them individually to find out if litters are on the cards. You could also look further afield - see our entire UK listings recently updated: https://www.sheltieplanet.com/shetland- ... ers-uk.php
Good luck! Let us know if you have success.

Australian here. It look me many phone calls, visits to breeders and luck really to find a Sheltie puppy. It took me over 5 months and by chance found the perfect puppy for us. We've had Freya now for about 5 weeks. She's settling in wonderfully. My adult daughters dogs play nicely with her and even our cats our coming around. She just wants to play with everybody.

Thanks everyone. I managed to get on a waiting list in England and now have my beautiful Sheltie boy. He was worth the wait!

Congrats on your gorgeous Sheltie. I'm very keen to find out from you where you were able to purchase your Sheltie or if you know of any current litters available? I'm in Brisbane but would travel in QLD or NSW. I've been looking for many months, on and off. Would greatly appreciate your advice. Thanks, Sonia.

We live in Whanganui and are keen to have again a sheltie in our little family.
Is there a litter in the loper North Island?
Thank you
Sylvia
